Resetting Your District Password Through SelfServe on the GPISD Website

Please Read ALL Instructions Carefully.  This may save you time and headaches.

Note- This option should work whether your password has expired, or you have forgotten your password!!

 

If you are unable to complete this process on your own, contact the HelpDesk at 972-237-5413 (x5413 in district) or contact the IMS Team.

 

Note- The IMS Team is only able to reset passwords from inside the GPISD Network.  This is why we want ALL staff to be set up in SelfServe.

 

 

To reset your District Password on your own, follow these 7 steps...

 

1. Go to https://selfserve.gpisd.org/showLogin.cc or go the GPISD Homepage, Staff, Reset Password.

 

2. Click on Reset Password towards the bottom right (next to the image of the key).

 

3. Type your username and the captcha, then click Continue.

 

4. Answer your 2 Security Questions, type the captcha, and then click Continue.

 

Note #1- If you don't see your security questions or aren't able to get to Step #4, you may not have registered on SelfServe and will not have the ability to reset your own password.  Go back to the link in Step #1 above.  Once you complete your registration (upper left corner), which includes setting up your security questions, you will be able to reset your password using these steps.

 

Note #2- If you don't remember the answers to your security questions, you will have to call the HelpDesk at 972-237-5413 (or place a Work Order) so they can reset your account for you.  The next time you create your security questions, make sure that choose questions with easy to remember, definitive answers.

 

5. Type your new password twice according to the rules listed on the screen (at least 8 characters, at least 1 capital letter, at least 1 number), type the captcha, and then click Reset Password.  Note- You can not repeat a password before 24 password changes. 

 

6. IMPORTANT- As soon as you click "Reset Password," these passwords change- Computer Login, Discovery Education, Email, Edugence, Eduphoria, Office 365, Service Desk for work orders (KACE), Wi-Fi Password for any and all devices that connect to GPISD network, and Password for Email Apps on any and all devices.

 

7. Restart your computer right away.  If you are outside GPISD, you should restart as soon as you return to the GPISD Network.
